is an ‘arms length body’ of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), established by Act of Parliament and charged with giving advice and assistance to the Defence Council and to the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force on matters that concern reserves and cadets in Wales.

The Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (RFCA) for Wales employ more than 70 permanent staff.

We comprise a body of volunteer members drawn from all strata of society in Wales, a professional (salaried) secretariat based in Cardiff and Mold and full time support staff located in each of the Army Cadet Force unit headquarters. All of our salaried staff are employed as Crown servants.

Together, we become: The enabling voice for the reserves and cadets in Wales.
