2017 has proved to be an exemplary year for No 1 Welsh Wing Air Cadets and staff, and their efforts and achievements Wales have been recognised at an annual award presentation evening hosted at the Cwmbran Army Reserve Centre.



14 Cadets and four staff from 1148 (Penarth) and 1344 (Cardiff) Air Cadet squadrons have just returned from a weekend aboard HMS Bristol with Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wing.



On Saturday, 247 Army Cadet Force (ACF) representatives from across the country enjoyed a unique experience at the Welsh Rugby Union’s Autumn International fixture against Georgia.

Cadets have once again excelled at this year’s Army Cadet Force (ACF) Welsh winter sports event. It was held at Myddelton College in Denbigh and promoted sports within the regions, also encouraging friendly inter-county rivalry and good sportsmanship.

Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major Holly Powell, a Combined Cadet Force (CCF) Cadet from Llandovery College, recently jetted off to America for a two week climbing course in the Yosemite National Park as part of Exercise Dragon Venturer with the Cadet Centre for Adventurous Training (CCAT).
