The winners of the Wales and the Battle of Britain competition have been announced by Air Officer Wales, Air Commodore Adrian Williams.
The competition was open to all air cadets in Wales and gave them the chance to research and prepare a piece of work that fitted within the “Wales and the Battle of Britain” subject.
Air Commodore Williams, who was one of the judges and the originator of the competition, said, “I wanted to get the air cadets involved in the Battle of Britain 80th anniversary celebrations somehow during the lockdown and at the same time, to learn about the Welsh pilots who fought in the Battle of Britain and the local communities who were involved.”
The winners, who will all receive the book ‘Flight Through The Ages,’ were congratulated by Air Commodore Williams, who also thanked all the cadets throughout Wales who submitted entries.
The prizes were bought thanks to a £300 donation from the Wales Reserves and Cadets Charitable Incorporated Organisation.
